Swimming On Land

This week we have been learning swimming drills on land. This makes us think about our body position in the water and our breathing techniques. It helps build our inner core strength and......its so much fun! 

Expert Lessons

Today we worked with some experts from Room 10 and 11. They were teaching us how to log on to our google accounts. We needed to learn our gmail addresses, and how to access our blogs. 

We can't wait to start sharing our learning.

Our Special Visitor - Audi

Thanks to Jo and his mum for bringing Jo's puppy Audi into HQ to meet us.  We learnt that Audi is a Bernese mountain dog.  These dogs were bred as draft animals, pulling carts loaded with milk urns in Switzerland.  At the moment Audi is 20kg but he is going to grow to a whopping 70kgs and will almost be as tall as Jo.  Audi loves to sit on you and enjoyed lots of cuddles from the superheroes in Room 67.

Design your own Superhero

What super powers will our Room 67 Superhero need to have to make a positive contribution to our class?  

This question formed the basis of our designs.  

We chose our own learning space to work on our designs. Some of us chose to work on our own.  Some chose to work with friends. Some were inside and some were outside.

Our designs are a work in progress.

Welcome all Superheroes...no Villains allowed!

WOW!  What a fantastic start to the year.  Our Superheroes are settling into their new headquarters, now known as Secret 67 HQ.  We have enjoyed learning about each other and our new collaborative work spaces.  The bean bags are a hit!  The outdoor squabs make working on the floor nice and comfy.  The pool is lovely and warm.  The scene is set for a busy year of learning and we are excited to be working with such a great bunch of kids!!!!!!
